PUPPET
PROGRAMS
Puppet
Kaleidoscope
This visual treat of hand,
mouth and rod puppets is laced with humor.
The educational focus is on creativity and making choices.
In addition to the demonstration of professional puppets, the
students see simplified puppets that they might create themselves.
Fantasy animals perform a colorful dance accompanied by a puppet
playing a large keyboard. Children
experience ventriloquism with a puppet that thinks she is talking and
moving by herself. Students
learn how puppets are constructed and manipulated and watch a sock turn
into a dog. Jan Potter
demonstrates how her creative ideas develop.
This show is suitable as an assembly program or for smaller groups.
It is a marvelous motivator for creative student projects.
